“The bottom line is children have not changed. Children have been the same since the beginning of time. Whatever is going on around them, the core thing is children have basic needs and they have basic temperaments and they have basic selves. It doesn’t matter what the world is like around them, that’s kind of a constant. And that’s where parents come in.”
